Hatha Yoga

Yoga balances, harmonizes, purifies, and strengthens the Body, Mind, and Soul. Now it’s time for You to start your journey of perfect health, perfect mind control and perfect peace. Yoga is union.

Hatha Yoga is the union of opposites in order to reach balance – mentally, physically, spiritually. Ha means sun and tha means moon – or opposites, and all the attributes that go with these opposites: hot and cold, dark and light, physical and mental, male and female.

Hatha Yoga is great for beginners and is considered a gentle yoga that focuses on static poses. However even though it is gentle, it can still be psychically and mentally challenging. Hatha Yoga focuses on stretching and strengthening the body while promoting relaxation and mindfulness. Hatha Yoga can be practiced through wide range and as prenatal yoga.

First of all it is important to understand what is health. Health is the state of body when all organs functions perfectly under the intelligent control of the mind. Psychical culture systems develop the muscles by mechanical movements and exercises, however yogic exercises not only develop the body, but also broaden the mental state. Muscular development does not necessarily mean a healthy body. Yogic exercises emphazise flexibility and elasticity of the spinal column and other joints. Yoga helps to keep arteries elastic and maintain an even supply of blood.

Yogic exercises (Yoga asanas) – influence and positively energize all the systems of the body: the circulatory system, the muscular and skeletal system, the digestive system, the endocrine system and most importantly nervous system.

The difference between Yogic exercises and ordinary psychical exercises is that psychical exercises emphasize violent movements of the muscles, while Yogic exercises promote slow and conscious movements of the body, thus avoiding the build-up of lactic acid in the muscle fibers, avoiding fatigue. The main purpose of exercise is to increase circulation and the intake of oxygen.
